FALL RIVER (WBSM) — A 21-year-old Fall River man was arrested Tuesday on firearms charges following an investigation by police.

Fall River Police stated that members of the Community Action and Suppression Team executed a warrant on July 15 at 1977 Rodman Street, second floor. The target of the investigation was Keith Goncalo, 21, who police said was suspected of possessing an AK-47.

Goncalo was taken into custody when he arrived at the location, and detectives then searched the apartment for the weapon.

Police said that inside the apartment, detectives recovered an AK-47 rifle, a large-capacity feeding device, and one round of ammunition from Goncalo’s bedroom.
