Sabrina Carpenter visited Fall River and made a bet with Michael Rock back in 2017.  He lost.

There's no doubt about it, Sabrina Carpenter has been one of the hottest recording artists in the world in 2024. She earned Fun 107 airplay for an impressive five songs this year, including "Feather," "Taste," "Espresso," "Bed Chem" and "Please, Please, Please."

She has undoubtedly been our biggest artist of the year by a long shot.

It's hard to believe that it was nearly eight years ago when Sabrina accepted our invitation to hang out with us and some Fun 107 fans at Barrett's Alehouse in Fall River.

At the time, she was already a television star on the Disney show Girl Meets World, which was wrapping up its run. I remember Sabrina telling me how much she loved the original show, Boy Meets World.

However, she was still finding her musical identity. I'll admit, I wouldn’t have believed you if you’d told me that day that Fun 107 would one day play five massive hits from Sabrina, let alone all in the same year.

Interestingly, I’m not sure Sabrina would have predicted that level of success either.

That day, she made a bet with me. She wanted to face off against me in a game of air hockey. If she beat me, I promised to play her next single on Fun 107. If I won, she agreed to allow me to make an appearance in her next music video.

Well, we have the air hockey game on video. You can see for yourself how it turned out. Let’s just say I never had to book a trip to Los Angeles to appear in any videos.

See Inside This Amazing New Bedford Time Capsule Home

The house at 10 Harding Street in New Bedford was custom built back in 1955. Now the people who had it custom built are selling for the first time in nearly 70 years.
Their house still has lots of classic 50s features, plus a few nods to the swinging 70s as well.
It's a home seemingly frozen in time and we can't stop looking at it.
