The Greater Fall River RE-CREATION has partnered up with Mayor Paul Coogan to launch a Summer Lunch Program that's free to the public.

For 25 years this free lunch program has provided free and nutritional lunches to local Fall River youths during the summer months. From Wednesday, June 28th to August 25th, local kids who would rely on school lunch for meals during the school year can find a nice lunch at seven local parks and five housing developments.

The official launch is taking place on Wednesday, June 28 at Poulos Park in Fall River at noon. All sites and times are listed here.

Some of the sites include Father Travassos, Griffin Park, Kennedy Park, Lafayette Park, Sunset Hill, Pulaski Park, and more throughout Fall River. These sites will have fun activities for the whole family to enjoy from 11 AM to 3 PM. This program is open to all youths, 18 years of age and under and no registration is necessary. All you have to do is show up, no identification is required.

Except for July 3rd or 4th, these programs will be running all Summer long. If the weather prevents these programs from being held outdoors, they will be moved indoors.

The backup locations can also be found here.
