Fall River Fireworks Result of Leonardo DiCaprio Film [VIDEO]
It was a star-studded night in Fall River on Friday, December 11.
An upcoming film called Don't Look Up has set up shop in both Boston and SouthCoast area.
According to IMDb and Wikipedia, the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio (Dr. Randall Mindy), Jennifer Lawrence (Kate Dibiasky), Ariana Grande (Riley Bina), Cate Blanchett (Brie Evantee), Meryl Streep (President Janie Orlean), Jonah Hill (Jason Orlean/Chief of Staff), Tyler Perry, Matthew Perry, Kid Cudi, and even Captain America himself, Chris Evans.
Unfortunately, it is unclear at this time that any of them were present in the city of Fall River during the time of the filming aboard the U.S.S. Massachusetts. I investigated the scene, or at least as far as I could get before hitting the Fall River Police barricades alongside my good friend Kelsey Garcia of K. Garcia Productions. Without her, I wouldn't have captured the moment when the night sky above the Taunton River lit up in elegant firework fashion.
Directed by Adam McKay, the IMDb synopsis of the film states:
"A pair of astronomers try to warn everyone on Earth that a giant meteorite will destroy the planet in six months."
Now, I don't know about you, but according to this description and matching it up against your predictable disaster/earth-saving film, the typical ending results in a celebration. I mean, these fireworks, it's the only fitting to place them at the film's grand finale.
Either way, whether the Fall River battleship had any Class A celebrities on it or not, the city skies were lit up as the film's pyrotechnics team ignited some conversation throughout the SouthCoast. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see when the movie gets released on Netflix.
