Plenty of kids are in need of school supplies and a fresh haircut before they head back to school. Barbers Giving Back will offer barbers from different shops all over Fall River willing to give back to the kids in our local community.

The Nelly Strong Foundation is teaming up with local barbershops to host this event at the Boys and Girls Club of Fall River on August 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free haircuts and free backpacks filled with school supplies are what this event is all about. These barbers want local kids to head back to school feeling their best selves and prepared to have a great year.

Backpacks will be packed with all the school essentials from pencils and pens to glue, scissors, and notebooks. Not to mention, they will look their best with haircuts perfected by the likes of Wicked Good Barbershops' Daryl Reis.

Kids will also be able to have a free meal as pizza from Domino’s and hot dogs from Simply Yummie will be on site. There will also be face painting and a bounce house. Families from all over the SouthCoast are expected to show up for a day filled with fun, activities and a full out dance party provided by Fall River's very own DJ Sammie.

So get all the kids out to Boys and Girls Club on 803 Bedford Street in Fall River for a "Sunday Funday," and feel good about seeing kids start the school year on a high note.
