FALL RIVER (WBSM) — A Florida man will serve up to four years in a Massachusetts state prison for the armed robbery of a Fall River bank this past summer.

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced that Domingo Agostini, 41, of Port Lucie, Florida, pleaded guilty in Fall River Superior Court on January 8 to charges of armed robbery and a bomb threat. He was sentenced to two to four years in prison.

Details of the Fall River Bank Robbery

The charges date back to August 18, 2025, when at about 10:30 a.m., Fall River Police were called to the Rockland Trust bank located at 855 Brayton Avenue for a reported robbery.

A teller told police that a man approached her with a note written on a paper bag that read, “I have a bomb.” He demanded $20,000 from the teller. She gave him about $5,000, but also included a red dye pack with the cash. When the suspect exited the bank, the dye pack exploded.

How Police Tracked the Suspect

Surveillance video showed the suspect fleeing from the area in a black Nissan Rogue with Florida plates. The vehicle was located and stopped in Providence, Rhode Island just before 2 p.m., and the driver was wearing the same clothing as the robber, had dye on his hands and was in possession of some of the stolen money. He was arrested and identified as Agostini.

District Attorney Praises Teller’s Actions

"Fortunately, the teller had the wherewithal to put a dye pack in the bag that assisted in leading to the apprehension and identification of the defendant,” D.A. Quinn said. “I want to thank the teller for her actions under very difficult circumstances.”
