
Fall River Man’s Balloon Art Creations Really Pop
If you've ever thrown a party, chances are you've blown up a balloon. It can be daunting staring at the bag of uninflated balloons knowing full well you'll be lightheaded by the end of it.
Once you do have the balloons inflated, what do you do with them? Probably nothing other than hang them up or tie them on a string. However, while we see simple decoration, one local man sees creative inspiration.

Becoming a Balloon Artist
Chip Pietraszek has been blowing people away with his spectacular balloon art.
"I got into balloons, magic and sideshow stunts like sword swallowing from my years of traveling and street performing all over Europe," he said.

The Fall River native is back home now creating intricate sculptures from a common party decoration and his work has grown into a full business. What the Fun, Inc. creates everything from balloon backdrops to archways, iconic children's characters and even custom pieces for noteworthy clients.
Inflating and Creating for Others to Enjoy
Pietrszek shared a few big names who he has created balloon art for.
"Americas Got Talent, Jack Black, Eric Andre, the Squirrel Nut Zippers and I was on the Pickler &Ben show with Kellie Pickler," he said.

Pietrszek's artistic creations are a labor of love. Admittedly, some pieces take a matter of seconds with a few twists and manipulations here and there, while others can take up to a few days.
"It’s nice to magic people happy through the balloons and magic tricks. Everyone loves balloons," Pietraszek said.
