The days of summer are winding down and trying to find things to do is getting more and more limited, but the Pirates and Privateers presentation is still going on in Fairhaven.

I'm pretty sure it's been the ongoing challenge, finding things to do with the family that is not only fun and education but also safe. I couldn't believe I hadn't come across this sooner, seeing as it's quite literally in my backyard at Fort Phoenix.

The Pirates and Privateers presentation is still holding tours at the fort every Friday at 10 a.m. through the end of September. Yes, they are requiring masks and social distancing to keep everyone safe while learning about some of our amazing history.

Seeing as I have yet to take this tour I should probably get myself to one these. They share stories of possible buried treasure. To just see the faces of kids whose imagination gets sparked by hearing these stories is worth it.

The best part about these presentations is they are free. They do, however, accept and appreciate donations to the Fairhaven Tourism gift account.

In case you want more information on these, like where they meet and who runs them they have an event page set up on Facebook.  Who knows, I might see you at one of these. Sounds so cool.
