Fairhaven’s Nook Brings Back the Ultimate Thanksgiving Pizza
If you're like me, it's only natural that throughout the entire month of November, you can't stop thinking about Thanksgiving. One Fairhaven spot totally gets that.
Why do we only make the feast once a year? Ok, maybe two if you have a Friendsgiving in the mix. However, if you can't wait or simply can't get enough of the turkey day stars and sides, head to The Nook in Fairhaven.
That's where you'll find The Gobbler, a creation known by many who frequent the Washington Street location and an item owners say "sets the bar for specialty pizzas at The Nook."
What Makes The Gobbler So Unique?
The roasted turkey, the luscious mashed potatoes, that ooey gooey gravy that covers it all; there's something special, and dare I say sacred, about the holiday meal.
It's one that many try to emulate or reimagine, taking those classic ingredients and putting them in or on everyday favorites.
At The Nook, it's different. The Gobbler pie is full of everything you love.
"It's the most difficult and involved pizza we make, and it is only for special occasions," reads The Nook's Facebook post.
A Look Inside The Nook’s Thanksgiving-Inspired Recipe
Why is it so difficult to create this Turkey Day dinner? Well, there's a method to the madness of getting it right.
"Everything is made from scratch," according to The Nook. "We roast turkeys with our famous Nook Stuffing, make a gravy out of pan drippings. We then add a pomme puree to the top (a more buttery mashed potato). Then we top the whole thing with a gravy drizzle and some homemade cranberry/fig sauce."
