NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police have arrested a Fairhaven man after a report of a person flashing a knife.

Police responded to the area of Market Basket at 122 Sawyer Street just after 8 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report that someone had shown what was believed to be a knife and made threats to another person.

During the investigation, police arrested Justin Troy Galary, 39, of 243 Adams Street, Fairhaven, and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon and threatening to commit a crime.
