Popular Poe Speakeasy Returns For Short Time in New Bedford and Providence
The mystery surrounding famed author Edgar Allan Poe has intrigued fiction fans for decades.
From his macabre stories to his tragic death, people have been fascinated with all things Poe. Now a perfect event for those people is headed to New Bedford next weekend.
It's a night where the American writer's most beloved works are brought to life by Poe historians before your eyes while you sip signature Poe-themed cocktails inside a dark speakeasy.
Dubbed 'The Haunted Tavern', this traveling speakeasy is taking over the Fairfield by Marriott on MacArthur Drive on January 9th and 11th.
Though if that isn't enough time to plan, the event comes back again February 6-8th at the Avon Cinema on Thayer Street in Providence.

Both events immerse you in the world of Edgar Allan Poe.
The venues are transformed into dark, 19th century speakeasy where master mixologists create four classic cocktails that pair with four beloved Poe tales.
You simply sit back and sip while the Poe historians take the stage and bring the master storytellers chilling tales to life.

When the event swung through Westport and Narragansett last spring, they served drinks like the Pale Blue Eye, made with blueberry vodka, fresh lemon juice, rose syrup and topped with La Croix, as well as a Cocktail of Red Death created with 100-proof vodka, cherry herring, benedictine liquor, lime juice, pineapple juice, and bitters.
No word on if the tales and cocktails have changed for the 2025 tour or if fans were simply looking for more of the same.
Most stops last year sold out in the towns they raveled to, including Westport's. So if you want to see the tales of Poe played out before you, then don't delayed in nabbing tickets.
