East Providence Woman Charged with Leaving Baby in Car

A mother from East Providence is being charged with child endangerment after leaving her 8-month-old baby in her car at Wrentham Outlets yesterday.

According to reports, police received a call from a shopper who saw the 8-month-old alone in a car parked in a handicapped parking spot.

After police arrived on scene, the mother returned to the car and said that she'd only left the baby alone for ten minutes and didn't believe she was breaking any laws.

The baby was taken to Norwood Hospital as the temperatures yesterday barely climbed into the 20's. The 8-month-old is expected to be fine.
