  • Volunteers will assist in making some infrastructural improvements, clearing invasives, and adding woodchips to the paths

Family-Friendly Earth Day Activities

Tiverton Library STEM Workshop

Wednesday, April 22

10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.

34 Roosevelt Ave, Tiverton, RI

Join the library for a fun day of learning in the Children’s Activity Room. Attendees will watch Puffling Patrol, a movie about a community in Iceland who works to save baby puffins. Visitors will then make bird-shaped window clings and learn about local birds.

Earth Day at Pine Meadow Alpacas

Wednesday, April 22

11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

109 Marion Rd. Mattapoisett, MA

  • Kids will have the opportunity to help plant a garden, take home their own flower and meet the barnyard animals
  • $15 per child; $5 per non-planter
  • All proceeds go directly to caring for the animals

Evening Cleanup Events

Onset Bay Beach Cleanup

Thursday, April 23

5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Onset Bay Center flagpole next to Onset Pier

  • All equipment, including gloves and bags, will be provided
  • Pre-registration is requested
  • To register, visit savebuzzardsbay.org
  • The event will conclude with pizza from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.
