Look out Starbucks? Dunkin' is making moves to win over espresso drinkers.

Dunkin' has made a lot of changes recently with new concept stores, a pared down menu and of course their new name. And now they're making a play for espresso drinkers too.

In a recent press release Dunkin' announced plans for a handcrafted espresso experience for the fancy coffee drinkers out there.

The company says they will be adding new state-of-the-art equipment, a new espresso recipe, new packaging and extensive restaurant training in a move to be known for great-tasting espresso beverages.

So look out Starbucks.

Currently all of Dunkin's espresso, latte and macchiato drinks are priced much lower than Starbucks, so presumably improving the espresso experience will get more people on board.

Dunkin' describes their new espresso beverages as rich, smooth and balanced. And they plan to have the new beverages available to all customers in the U.S. by the holiday season.

Plus the new espresso drinks will come in new cups. They'll be bright orange with a big "!" in the middle to represent the bold, new and exciting beverages.

No word on how soon the espresso machines will make their way to the SouthCoast, but we'll definitely keep you posted.
