A reported drive-by shooting in Fall River has left one victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to the Herald News, police and rescue crews responded to the report of a drive-by shooting on Lamphor Street in the area of Tucker Street at about 6:30 p.m.

The suspect is believed to be driving a gray Honda Civic that was seen heading toward Stafford Road. Seventeen shell casings were found in the area of the reported shooting.

Fall River Police Lt. Andrew Cook tells the paper one male victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
