Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘Boston Blue’ Spotted Filming Downtown

People out enjoying the summer sun in Boston this week also stumbled upon scenes being filmed for CBS' new series Boston Blue.
With star Donnie Wahlberg on set, of course.

Fans of the long-running Blue Bloods show were thrilled when the news came down last February that even though the show was ending, the Reagan family would live on.

To me, filming the show in Boston only made sense, since it is named Boston Blue and Donnie Wahlberg was born and raised in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood. Yet CBS never came out and announced that.
Where Was Boston Blue Filmed?
They clearly didn't need to however, since ambitious bystanders with cell phones were only too happy to let everyone know that Wahlberg and his new show arrived in Boston this week.
The actor, along with co-star Sonequa Martin-Green, were seen outside Park Street Station on Monday filming a scene where they chased down a suspect in the park.
Not a fun scene to shoot in full suits when the temperatures were in the mid-70s in the city.

No word on if the park visitors knew they were part of the show or thought a real crime had been committed nearby.
