I'm sure many of you are like me and want to get rid of the old items in our possession before new items are given to us as gifts over the holidays. Coats are no exception. If you have a gently-loved coat that you wish to give to someone in need, consider donating it to Burlington located at 181 Marianno Bishop Blvd in Fall River between now and Monday, January 4, 2021. All of the coats that are donated to the Burlington Coat Drive will go to local agencies to help keep Fall River warm this winter.

For helping a member of the SouthCoast community, you will receive a 10 percent off coupon for your entire purchase to be used before Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

Burlington is currently accepting all new and gently-used coats of any size, from infants to adults. Coats will be sorted by volunteers and delivered to schools, agencies, and organizations in Greater Fall River.

This is a partnership between United Way of Greater Fall River, Burlington, and Delivering Good. Meg Rogers is the Communications Coordinator at United Way of Greater Fall River and she commented on the program.

“We’re really excited to be partnering with Burlington and Delivering Good for the Burlington Coat Drive again this year. Last year, we had more than 400 coats donated that we were able to sort and bring to community partners. We know times are different this year with COVID-19, but we’re hoping for another awesome turnout so we can keep Greater Fall River warm and cozy this winter.”

United Way of Greater Fall River is also collecting winter weather accessories so that everyone in the community can have winter hats, scarves, gloves, and face shields.
