On Monday morning, a hunting dog was rescued from a drainage pipe that it was stuck in overnight.

Weston Radway told WBZ-TV that he was training Bell, his 8-year-old English Coonhound, for a competition Sunday night when she wandered into a drainage pipe that was about 12-inches.

He was luckily able to find Bell by using a GPS collar. She wandered about five feet underground while in the pipe and couldn't turn around. Firefighters arrived to try and get the dog out but couldn't and decided to wait till daytime. Radway had returned with a friend at 6:30 a.m on Monday to get the dog.

The drainage pipe is part of a new development near the Quashnet Valley Country Club according to Deputy Fire Chief John Phelan but the pipes are not in use yet.
