The bomb cyclone ripped its way through the SouthCoast overnight and left just as quickly as it came. The winds were ferocious. ABC 6 Meteorologist Chelsea Priest told us this morning that Fairhaven got a wind gust of 88 miles per hour early this morning!

If my calculations are correct, that's some serious wind.

Unfortunately, on our way into the Rock and Fox Show this morning, we saw a lot of downed tree limbs and power lines.

It was worse than some downed limbs for some homeowners. We got reports this morning of trees that hit houses on Mill Street in New Bedford, Victoria Street in New Bedford and Rochester Street in Fall River. The damage to the home in Rochester was reportedly quite serious, with the tree falling straight through the roof and exposing the living room to the outdoors.

Now, after last night's bomb cyclone, there is an opportunity to have Couto Construction not only repair your damaged roof, but replace it with an entirely new roof!

This isn't the first time the Couto brothers have done something like this. After the SouthCoast was rocked by a number of strong storms in the spring of last year, Couto Construction offered to help out a deserving family. They surprised the Capinha family from Wareham with a brand new roof. Kerry and Denise Campinha could hardly believe it when the Rock and Fox Show surprised them with the news last spring.

Now, we're looking to do it again with Couto, and we could use your help.

If you know anyone that has received roof damage like this to their homes, please share this information with them.

We'll announce the winner just before Thanksgiving.
