It's Groundhog Day 2018, so what did Punxsutawney Phil have to say about winter?

No surprise on a slightly snowy February morning, the world's most famous groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter.

Punxsutawney Phil was brought out before the masses gathered in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and gave the crowd the news just after daybreak.

I'm not sure the result would have been the same on this cloudy Southcoast morning, but I guess thinking winter would be ending soon with all this crazy cold we've had this season would have been wishful thinking.

So for kids hoping for more snow days and skiers and snowboarders, I'm sure this prediction of six more weeks of winter is a good thing.
