The body of a 9-foot Great White shark washed up along the Pamet River in Truro this morning. According to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, the juvenile male had three lead weights in his stomach which were found during a necropsy performed on the beach.

Further samples were taken by Dr. Lisa Natanson of NOAA who will learn more about the cause of death once she runs further tests.

This shark washed ashore barely a week after a 61-year-old was bitten off the shore of Truro Beach. The man sustained serious injuries to his legs and torso but has since been listed in 'good' condition.
