Why Dave & Buster’s Is Gazelle’s Favorite Spot for Summer Fun for All Ages

With a busy work schedule, finally getting time to hang out with my godson is EVERYTHING to me, and whenever I ask him what he wants to do, it's always the same: "Let's go to Dave & Buster's!"

He's obsessed with the Minecraft game and the giant life-sized Hungry, Hungry Hippos, and honestly, from a planning perspective, it's great that we don't have to worry about rain, heat, or humidity. We can truly explore the "great indoors" whenever our schedules allow.

I was blown away at how modern and flashy the newer games were, but if I'm being honest, I'm an old-school basketball shooting gamer who has no problem swiping my card til it needs to get recharged shooting some hoops in hopes to get the next high score.

When we're having fun without kids, you can find me shooting pong balls at the beer pong game, outscoring my buddies who claim they're the "world champions." The final score begs to differ.

If you get the opportunity to climb on board their impressive virtual reality ride, the technology is unfathomable. They have six video options (including a Top Gun video that's coming soon), but do yourself a favor and start off with the Star Trek adventure... you'll thank me later.

My favorite menu item 100% is the BBQ chicken flatbread. It's not too light and not too heavy, especially if you're planning on hitting the game room afterward. Their spicy taco burger, complete with mini tacos stacked on top, is pretty impressive, too, and their signature drinks include the Blood Orange Paloma, Spiked Black Cherry Limeade, and the Strawberry Watermelon Margarita with strawberry-infused ice cubes. If you have room for dessert, check out their Cinnamon Toast Crunch fried ice cream.

They also have some huge screens for watching all UFC, boxing, and WWE events, as well as our home team season and playoff games.
