The Quinn School in Dartmouth is celebrating once again.  One of their faculty members has earned the honor of Teacher of the Month.

The process of selecting Fun 107's Teacher of the Month is a tough one.  The radio station received hundreds of entries each and every month from dozens of schools across the SouthCoast.

Our panel of judges narrows down the entries to finalists before selecting the winner.

For the second time since June of 2023, the Quinn School in Dartmouth has a teacher that has been named Teacher of the Month:  Mrs. Lindsay Vafides.

From the moment the morning show walked into Mrs. Vafides room we could immediately feel the love the children had for her.  It was a beautiful thing to see.

We received this entry from Leila McKay

Mrs. Vafides is a second grade teacher.  She has been teaching for 19 years and has spent most of those years working with special-needs students. She is dedicated and loves her students as if they were her own children and cares for them in that way as well. She prioritizes their well-being and their education over anything else and always goes above and beyond for her students. anyone who has had her as a teacher of their child has had nothing but good things to say not only is she loved by her students she is loved by her colleagues and the families of her students. She is extremely hard-working and I can’t think of anybody who deserves this more.  --Leila McKay
