The Dartmouth Mall has been home to Party City for years but unfortunately the party is over.

Just a few years ago, Party City filed for bankruptcy and closed stores across the country. Somehow our beloved Dartmouth mall location was spared and we got a few more years to drop in and grab some some party favors.

I'll be the first to admit I'd go and spend too much money for a last-minute Halloween costume a few years in a row.

The announcement that Party City is closing all of its stores immediately was a surprise to most people, but the timing is just horrible.

Yes, the Friday before Christmas, all Party City employees were informed they were losing their jobs and their stores were closing.

We reached out to Party City's corporate office and have yet to receive any additional information. We hope they are at least taking care of their employees through the holiday.

The burning questions that most of us have, though: what will take its place at the Dartmouth Mall?

Knowing malls across the country are getting creative when it comes to filling vacancies, what else could they possibly find to fill the space?

What do you think should go there? I'm going to put on the record that I would love it if we finally got a Trader Joe's but I somehow thing that may not be possible since the mall added an Aldi market in 2021.
