Dartmouth Fundraiser to Benefit the Wounded Warrior Project This Weekend
September 11 is known as the National Day of Service across the country. For one local restaurant, it means honoring a specific group for the service they provided this country many years ago.
The Black Bass Grille in Dartmouth is hosting its 10th Annual Fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project on Sunday, September 11.
Matt Rooney is the owner and chef at the Black Bass Grille.
“We’re proud to present our annual event which is honoring Native Americans in service,” Rooney said.
Wes Faulkner is a Dartmouth resident offering his services as a volunteer at the event this Sunday. He provided details of the fundraiser.
“We are creating a menu to honor the Native Americans that have served in the armed forces during the revolutionary war,” Faulkner said. “The menu contains Native American-inspired food, cooked and smoked over a live fire, true to the tradition of that time period.”
The fundraising event begins at 1 pm on Sunday. There will be live music all day, several guest veteran speakers, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction.
Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased at the restaurant or by emailing bbgrille1@gmail.com. The ticket price includes a meal and beverages, as well as access to all of the entertainment. All proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
