Dartmouth Drone Masters Capture the Best Views on the SouthCoast
Fall River resident Kevin Luiz offers a fresh perspective of the SouthCoast, reminding us of just how beautiful this area really is.
Kevin and his father Joe work as a father-son duo as owners of Capion Studios. Kevin went to film school in Chicago and his father is a licensed commercial pilot. It’s no surprise that later in life, they joined forces to create a business that allowed them to enjoy their passions for the rest of their lives.
“He’s always been in aviation, and I’ve always been in the video field, so we put them together,” Kevin said.
Both men are extremely tech-savvy. Before drone technology was easily accessible, Kevin was building his own drones.
His father, on the other hand, built his own helicopter.
It’s safe to say that these two were into gadgets.
Through their business, Joe and Kevin do video branding for clients, aerial events, and documentation, but Kevin wanted to do something special for his hometown.
Growing up in Dartmouth, Kevin knows firsthand how beautiful the SouthCoast is, and doesn’t want people to forget about it.
When you look at something every day, you become jaded.
“We live in such a beautiful location, and we take it for granted,” Kevin said. “I guess when your eye is an inch away from a painting, you can’t see the whole picture, but when you step back, it’s breathtaking.”
An aerial view, thanks to drones, allows viewers to see the world around them in a way they have never seen it. Whether you have lived on the SouthCoast your entire life or you’re new to the area, some of the views that Kevin captured in his latest video will remind you of just how precious the SouthCoast is.
