Dancing Witches Are Taking Over a Westport Craft Fair and They Want You to ‘Shake Your Bacon’
Good people of Westport, get ready to Shake Your Bacon.
Have you ever wanted to see witches dance? Well, now you can.
The Divine Wellness & Psychic Craft Fair in Westport on Oct. 30 will include a raffle for prizes, card readings, face painting, and much more. Costumes are strongly encouraged, so anyone who comes in costume will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize from craft fair vendors.

It's a family-friendly event, so bring the kids along so they can trick-or-treat to their heart's content. Ready for the main event? The Wolfshager Hexenbruts witches will be performing their signature choreographed dance, better known as the “Witch Dance” for all who attend.
The original Wolfshager Hexenbruts witches are a dance troupe located in Harz, Germany. They first performed their iconic dance in 2016 during Walpurgis, a traditional holiday celebrated in Northern Europe. The dance went viral and quickly got picked up by numerous other groups.
This led to the “Witch Dance” being performed at celebrations everywhere.
If you find yourself moving your body to the beat, there's a reason. The dance is always performed to the song “Schuttel Deinen Speck” by Peter Fox, which translates to “Shake Your Bacon.” Now that's a dance I can find myself getting down to
The fair is set for Oct. 30 at Sisters of Solace in Westport, 700 American Legion Highway, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come stop by for prizes, candy and a good old-fashioned witch boogie.
