What is the world coming to?  Recently, a 4chan user uploaded a photo of a London man dancing in public and having some fun at a club and proceeded to make fun of him. “Spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing,” read the caption.

The photo is getting plenty of attention now that’s making its way around the internet. Imgur user, Frozenbadger, posted a screenshot of the post scolding the meanness of the 4chan user, with the caption, “I find this behavior ****ing despicable. If you’re out there big man, ***k those kids. Keep dancing.”

Los Angeles resident and “The Free Thought Project” writer Cassandra Fairbanks, took notice of this horrible act and decided to do something about it.  She made a couple phone calls and took a screenshot of the post to share on her Twitter account that has more than 51,000 followers, with the caption, “Anyone know this man or who posted this? There’s a huge group of ladies in L.A. who would like to do something special.” A special invitation has been created for the dance party.

Fairbanks’ group has set up a fundraising page to raise funds for a dance party for the dancing man.  As of Sunday, there has been more than $33,000 raised, well past its $20,000 goal.

The dancing man surfaced online after establishing a Twitter account with the username, “@Dancingmanfound.” As of yesterday, Sean has collected more than 57,000 followers and has officially accepted the invitation to partake in this special dance party. “Big thanks to all who have tweeted such kind words. Not stopped smiling and laughing,” he said.

Celebrities and musicians have taken notice and reached out to participate in this epic dance party. Pharrell Williams and Moby are interested in taking part in the party. “I offer my dj services for free for #DancingMan #DancingManFound #FindDancingMan, No one should ever be ashamed about dancing” Moby tweeted. And Williams tweeted at Fairbanks asking her to keep him posted about the dance party. Ellie Goulding and Cher Lloyd have tweeted their desires to get down on the dance as well.

The LA Memorial Coliseum has offered up the “world’s greatest stadium” for the “world’s greatest dance party.” And the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board has offered to pick up Sean’s travel expenses. Now it's just a matter of time until this dance party kicks off!
