This annual mile-run takes place on Saturday, February 17th in Boston and consists of stripping down to your underwear and running through a one mile stretch of Boston city streets. It may sound like a bad time, especially with the current weather situation, but it's for an amazing cause.

The Children's Tumor Foundation is the world's largest non-government organization that's sole purpose is to rid the world of NF in children. NF is short for Neurofibromatosis and kills a staggering number of people yearly. Just one parent with a mutated gene automatically gives their child a 50% chance of inheriting NF from them and the illness affects 1 in every 3,000 births annually.

Too many people suffer from this deadly illness and this run is supporting a cause that is trying their hardest to stop it from taking so many lives. If you wish to help out this great cause, you can register for the race here. Just since 2010, the organization has raised approximately 14.5 million dollars and continues to aim for higher goals in order to help out the local youth in our surrounding communities.

So, if you feel like stripping down to your under-roos this Saturday, take a walk or a run for a great cause.
