SouthCoast Cringeworthy Wedding Stories

As a wedding DJ for the past decade, I've seen just about everything there is to make you say "You've got to be kidding me".

On Wednesday, September 13th, The Michael and Maddie Show asked the audience if they had any wild, crazy, cringeworthy wedding stories and the listeners did not disappoint.

I've heard some absolute "jaw-droppers" from colleagues within the industry who claimed law enforcement got involved- it was that bad. When it comes to cringy weddings, a majority of the time it's the guests who get involved. From fights to overconsumption, there's always one person to ruin the party for the rest. However, not all "crazy wedding stories" are bad.

Have you ever been to a wedding where the bride's water broke? I certainly have and it was a night I'll never forget.

My final wedding of 2022 was one for the books. I'm not going to name any names to protect the privacy of the couple, but the ceremony was gorgeous, and the intros were extravagant and fun. Just as the food was being served, I noticed the groom and the bride were missing. Moments later, the groom emerged from the back, made his way over to the DJ booth, and asked to use the microphone.

"Hello everybody! I just want to let everyone know that ******* water broke and we're heading to the hospital!"

The crowd erupted in cheers and the room was filled with happy tears and smiles as the couple made their way out the door.

Again, this is a much happier story and far from cringe, but still wild, to say the least. On the other hand, I asked the SouthCoast what mind-boggling acts or events happened at their wedding or a wedding they attended and the answers began pouring in.
