There's a new reason to head north for family winter fun this season.

Cranmore Mountain is literally lighting things up, with the introduction of "Cosmic Tubing" at the North Conway resort. This nighttime tubing experience will let riders fly down the mountain on illuminated, color-changing paths starting in December.

While night tubing isn't anything new to most mountains, this LED lit tubing is a first for all of New Hampshire.

As a parent who has spent her fair share of snowy days at Cranmore Mountain, I know how much fun the tubing park can be. This year, the addition of the color-changing lights and upbeat music is sure to transform the usual fun into a snow-day dance party under the stars.

Becca Deschenes, director of marketing for Cranmore, released a video on the resort's website about all the new programming for the 2025-2026 season, saying "Cosmic Tubing" will debut in late December.

Cranmore's tubing park already features multiple, lift-served lanes, so the kids (and you) don't have to trudge up the hillside. Glowing lights will be embedded under the snow this season to give the tubing park a literal glow up.

Night Tubing Across New England

Cranmore will join Nashoba Valley in Massachusetts, Powder Ridge in Connecticut and Smugglers' Notch in Vermont as the only illuminated night tubing experiences in New England. A trend that has grown in popularity across the country.
