The Madeira Feast Grounds are going country ... again.

After high demand in its first year, the Country Music Festa returns for a second year to the feast grounds in New Bedford on June 3, offering live music, line dancing and good food.

This year, the Country Music Festa is shaping up to be even bigger than before.

Nick Vieira, co-chairman of Country Festa and presenter for Club Madeirense S.S. Sacramento, is thrilled to run it back for a second time at the feast grounds.

“The turnout last year was absolutely phenomenal and it really helped with everything we do,” he said. “Bottom line, we do these (events) so we can help out charities throughout the city."

Last year, the first Country Music Festa helped the committee purchase turkeys during the Thanksgiving season for the less fortunate, as well as helping with Toys for Tots during the Christmas season. It also provided money for the scholarship fund.

What to Expect at Country Music Festa
