Cops make drug bust

Members of the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant at 998 Middle St. Fall River with the assistance of Det. Gary Barbosa of the Fall River PD.
This was the culmination of an investigation by Det. Kurt Dreher into heroin that was coming into the city from Fall River.

The suspect was taken into custody as he left his home on Middle St. A subsequent search of the apartment revealed six 50 gram “pucks” of heroin, as well as, some loose heroin. $2, 873 in cash was also recovered and the heroin weighed in excess of 300 grams. He is scheduled to be arraigned this morning in New Bedford district court on drug trafficking charges;  Samuel Rodriguez age 29 of 998 Middle St. Fall River
