Serious Raynham Crash Leaves Motorcyclist With Life-Threatening Injuries

UPDATE No. 2: The motorcyclist has passed away as a result of his injuries. He has been identified as Daniel Pitts, 37, of South Easton.

RAYNHAM (WBSM) — A 37-year-old motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a serious crash Sunday night.

Emergency Response Details at Route 138

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III said that Raynham Police and EMS were dispatched at about 8 p.m. on August 23 to the intersection of Broadway (Route 138) and King Philip Street after 911 reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Condition of Vehicles and Driver Involvement

Police arrived to find a 1995 Suzuki VSG motorcycle with significant damage in the intersection. The operator, a 37-year-old man, was found on the ground with significant injuries. He was eventually medflighted for treatment of injuries that the D.A.’s Office said are life-threatening. His identity was not released.

A 2025 GMC Sierra pickup truck was also in the intersection with damage to the front end. The D.A.’s Office said the driver remained on the scene and spoke to police.

Active Police Investigation Underway

The investigation into the crash remains active and ongoing by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the D.A.’s Office and Raynham Police.
