Doesn't it seem longer than just 29 weeks since the north end of Route 18 was blocked off?

One of the busiest intersections in the city has been closed since April, and is re-opening today.

It was shut down as the first phase in the redesign of the Acushnet Ave corridor, which will hopefully boost business and growth in that area of New Bedford.

The sidewalks have been widened, new lighting has been added, as well as a better drainage system.   We are also being told that the ramp that connects Route 18 to Route 6 near the bridge may open as early as this Friday as well.
