Do You Love Animals? Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River Needs Your Help
Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River is asking animal lovers to unite on September 30th for their Celebration of Giving fundraising event on September 30th.
The Celebration of Giving is a major fundraising effort for the shelter to ensure it can continue to help lost, abandoned, and stray animals throughout Bristol County.
Forever Paws Animal Shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit animal organization that acts as a contracted shelter for the cities of Fall River and New Bedford. It also accepts owner-relinquished animals from all over the state.
“Our mission is to re-home animals in an ethically positive way that is beneficial to the overall well-being of the animal and our community,” said the shelter.
The beautiful animals at Forever Paws are often the stars of Fun 107’s Wet Nose Wednesday, and while many of those animals have found their forever homes through Wet Nose Wednesday, the shelter is still bustling with animals waiting to find families.
As a nonprofit, the shelter relies on fundraising and donations to keep the shelter running.
“2023 has handed us so many obstacles to overcome, the major one being the gaping hole in our financial situation,” said Arianna Silva, the director of the shelter. “Fundraising makes up 30% of our budget, so this has been a major loss for us and the animals that we are responsible for keeping safe.”
The Celebration of Giving event will take place on September 30th at Whites of Westport, where guests will enjoy food stations, a cash bar, and a silent auction. Tickets are $55 and all the proceeds go directly to Forever Paws.
To further help the shelter, there are sponsorship opportunities for local businesses, as well as item donation opportunities to be used in the silent auction.
