Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at New Hampshire Ice Castles
For the first time ever, the New Hampshire Ice Castles' season is being extended until the middle of March and will be lasting through St. Patrick's Day.
And to celebrate this seasonal first, operators of the ice castles have a sweet party planned for inside the Polar Pub with Guinness and Irish coffees being served, specialty concession sold and of course lots of green lights lit inside the ice.
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure how they pulled this off. Here on the SouthCoast it has seemed like the most un-wintery winter I can remember, and yet up in North Woodstock, New Hampshire the temperatures have stayed cold enough to keep these massive sculptures of ice up longer than ever before.

Last season the New Hampshire Ice Castles became one of only three locations to offer an ice bar and this season they are really getting the most out of it.
I mean anyone can head to a bar on St. Patrick's Day, but a bar made entirely of ice is definitely a new experience for the Irish holiday.
Plus with this being Spring Break week for most area colleges, even those that don't have beach break plans can now find something unique to do with their time off from classes.
This will likely be the final week of Ice Castles in New Hampshire for the 2023 season, so if you haven't made it up north for an epic ice adventure, then perhaps organizers have just given you the perfect excuse to change that.
Even if the bar scene isn't your thing, there are ice slides, a forest walk, sleigh rides and more to keep everyone enjoying one last taste of winter at the New Hampshire Ice Castles on St. Patrick's Day.
