Elaine Lebar was just playing piano at her memory care unit in Buzzards Bay when she went viral on social media a few years ago.

Elaine, who was born in 1928, unfortunately had been diagnosed with dementia, an all-too-common illness that causes a rapid mental decline. Her daughter Dr. Randi Lebar stayed by her side for the wild ride of not knowing whether her mother would remember who she was on any given day.

Randi knew her mom's history with the piano and happened to capture a video of her very talented mother playing a pretty difficult piece from Bach. She later posted the video and it went viral on social media. It now has over two million views on TikTok.
