Bristol, Rhode Island's Pivotal Brewing Company has secured a second location in Newport.

Pivotal Brewing has been a community staple in Bristol for awhile and has hosted so many fun events such as the Pawdi-Gras pet adoption event.

When Salvation Cafe at 140 Broadway in Newport closed back in 2021, it left a pretty amazing space vacant. It was going to take someone with a good spirit and great vibes to bring this space back to life.

Brewery owners Rebecca Ernst and Todd Nicholson are excited to dive in and get the new location open in time for the spring and summer months.

Ernst said Newport was the perfect place for Pivotal's expansion.

"We love Newport and love the neighborhood vibe of Broadway," she said. "Much like our current space in Bristol, we wanted to be in a historic building in a walkable neighborhood."

The location itself couldn't be any more perfect, either.

"It’s walking distance to all the other great things going on in Newport so it’ll allow us to introduce Pivotal Brewing Company to the many out of town visitors," Ernst said.

As to when they are hoping to opening the Newport location, that all depends.

"We are shooting to open as quickly as licensing will allow, which should be in spring if all goes well," Nicholson said.

We are so excited for these two and can't wait to see what they do with the place. We shall share a cold one soon.
