The search for a Fall River man who went missing at Watuppa Pond Saturday has come to an end after his body was recovered.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office tells WBSM News the body of 35-year-old Emerson Belirio was discovered before 7am Tuesday morning in South Watuppa Pond close to the shoreline.

The State Medical Examiner's Office has taken custody of the body. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The DA's Office says there is no suspicion of foul play. A spokesman told WBSM News it is not believed that Belirio was a strong swimmer.

Belirio was with his family on a boat owned by friends Saturday afternoon when he jumped into the water wearing a life jacket. The life jacket surfaced, but Belirio did not.
