Bob Odenkirk to Appear at Boston Underground Film Festival

The 26th Boston Underground Film Festival returns this March with a few special guests. Award-winning actor, writer and producer Bob Odenkirk will be in attendance.

Bob Odenkirk to Appear at BUFF 2026

The Better Call Saul star will attend a screening of his film Normal, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

The Boston film festival features horror, fantasy, sci-fi and more, bringing fans and filmmakers together for five days of "cinematic celebration."

“BUFF is such a wonderful place for genre film fans to gather and share a love for weird cinema together as an audience. In an age where we're constantly getting further disconnected from each other, festivals like ours, and the venues we're screening in, are so important for keeping our community alive. I’m very excited to be a part of its next chapter,” Artistic Director Mark Anastasio said.

When and Where the Festival Takes Place

From Wednesday, March 18 through Sunday, March 22, film buffs can attend screenings and events at the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square and Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline.

“It is our great honor and uttermost joy to ensure that the underground spirit of BUFF will continue to give the darkest visions of filmmakers, from all aspects of life and absurdity, a place for their voices to be heard and celebrated by the Boston Underground faithful,” Festival Co-Directors Phil Healy and Adam Van Voorhis said.

Odenkirk’s Previous Visit to Boston

It's not the first time Odenkirk has visited Boston. Back in 2023, he was honored as Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Man of the Year award.

What Is the Hasty Pudding Man of the Year Award?

Given annually by the Hasty Pudding Theatricals society at Harvard, the award is bestowed upon performers whom the society feels have made "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment."

With an extensive resume both in front of and behind the camera, Odenkirk was a perfect choice.
