Rhode Island favorite Blount Clam Shack Food Truck has received approval to park along the Fall River waterfront.

Fall River zoning recently gave a permit to Kara O'Connell, the operator of the truck, which allows a seasonal bar and event space at 180 River Street. It's another opportunity to enjoy this local favorite; here is what we know.

In case you were wondering where it is in relation to Battleship Cove, here is a map to help you visualize it.

Unfortunately, the Fall River water taxi probably won't take you all the way down the Taunton River to check this out but it is an easy drive and just minutes from Barrett's Waterfront.

There is also the Blount Company Soup Store on Graham Road in Fall River, which is just minutes away from this waterfront. The soup store does have limited hours, open Thursday through Saturday, mostly in the morning.

We reached out to get more information on when the food truck waterfront setup will open and what the hours of operation will be, but the team hasn't yet responded. It may be a bit early in the planning still, but will let you know as soon as we hear.

The truck will be at the Fall River fire works on July 4 at Battleship Cove and there is a healthy schedule of stops on the Blount Food Truck website.

It's a seasonal permit, so hopefully you can make it out there and try this Rhode Island favorite right in our backyard, or should I say on our waterfront, very soon.

If you do head over, please let us know what you thought of the setup and the food.
