The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the South Coast in effect from Monday evening through early Wednesday morning.

According to NOAA, a "crippling and potentially historic blizzard," which has been dubbed Winter Storm Juno by the Weather Channel and #blizzardof2015 on Twitter, will arrive at approximately 7 p.m. Monday night for all of Rhode Island and Eastern and Southeastern Massachusetts. The storm is expected to dissipate by 1 a.m. Wednesday.

This blizzard will bring with it heavy snow falling at a rate of two to four inches per hour with an anticipated 20 to 30 inches accumulating. We can also expect strong winds blowing at 30 to 40 mph and gusts of up to 75 mph across the region.

These blizzard conditions will make driving difficult due to expected white-outs with near zero visibility. Travel will be impossible and life threatening, so please get off the roads by Monday afternoon and stay off the roads for the duration of the storm.
