Want to see something on the big screen without breaking the bank? Then this Sunday is the day for you.

Theaters across the country are celebrating National Cinema Day with deep discounts on movie watching, including all the theaters in and around the SouthCoast.

That means wherever you want to watch this coming weekend, you'll get your tickets for just $4 per person.

Showcase Cinemas announced that they are "excited to join The Cinema Foundation in celebrating National Cinema Day on Sunday, August 27. All movies, all formats, all $4!"

In a press release from Colleen Blair with Marlo Marketing, Showcase Cinemas say all of their Massachusetts and Rhode Island theaters are part of this day long celebration of film and each location will offer the discounted tickets to moviegoers.

So whether you want to watch at Showcase Cinema de Lux in Warwick, North Attleboro or Gillette Stadium or just head to the Showcase on Route 6 in Seekonk, every movie you choose is just $4.

The theater chain is sweetening the deal that day as well by offering deals at the concession stands. Adding nachos to combo orders will only be $3 this Sunday plus movie candy can be added to any XCombo for free all day.

Not to be outdone,  AMC Theaters, like the one at the Dartmouth Mall, are also participating in the nationwide theater celebration. They too will have $4 tickets all day for all films and are providing deep discounts of food and beverages.

For just $5 (plus tax) moviegoers can score a small fountain drink and popcorn combo at AMC location all day.

Big blockbusters have hit the theaters this summer and if you still haven't seen them, this Sunday could be your day. Especially when tickets are just $4!
