Warwick Theater Reveals Luxurious Renovations and Offers $5 Films
This Saturday, you can enjoy a movie on the big screen inside Rhode Island's newest luxury theater for just $5. The price is unheard of these days and the multimillion-dollar renovations to the theater are out of this world.
Back in February, Showcase Cinema De Lux Warwick opened their massive XPlus Laser Premium Large Format Auditorium. Now they are ready for moviegoers to enjoy the upgrades inside every auditorium, such as fully powered recliners, not to mention the swanky new lobby.
When the pandemic first hit, theaters across the country closed their doors and film buffs had to watch the latest releases from their own couches. Many seemed to like that change and a post-quarantine survey found movie patrons felt lower prices and comfier seats would be the only things to bring them back.
This Saturday, you are getting both of those things at the Showcase Cinema De Lux Warwick.
The theater is celebrating all its new features by offering guests $5 movie tickets for Saturday, May 21, only. And considering the weather is reportedly going to creep toward 90 degrees that day, being inside a luxury, air-conditioned movie theater for a few hours sounds like an amazing idea.
That day, Showcase Warwick will play "The Bad Guys," "Sonic the Hedgehog 2," "Downton Abbey: A New Era," "2000 Mules," "Everything Everywhere All at Once," "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore," "Family Camp," "Firestarter," "Men" and even "The Met: Live in HD Lucia di Lammermoor." Clearly, there are options for everyone.
And snacks for everyone, too. One of the main renovations was the creation of the lobby bar and concession area. That area now offers Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Uno Express Pizzas, Pretzel Depot Hand-Rolled Pretzels, Starbucks Coffee and Gourmet Popcorn and over 40 candy varieties. Yum!
Plus, adults can enjoy hand-crafted cocktails on tap, premium spirits and craft beers in the new lobby bar with a comfy lounge seating area. It's like a night at the movies and a stop at the bar all in one place.
The theater is open now.
Mark Malinowski, vice president of global marketing for Showcase, says: “With all of these new updates, we are thrilled to offer the Warwick community the best movie-going experience possible, and look forward to inviting customers and guests to experience all of the new features themselves during our Community Day on May 21.”
