Bakery Fire May Leave Brides Without Wedding Cakes

An early morning fire that took down two Leominster bakeries is now leaving one owner gearing up to apologize to some soon-to-be sad brides. 

The fire started while people were inside making bagels, preparing for the day. Luckily everyone inside was able to get out unharmed.

Unfortunately, the owner of Joyce's Pies, one of the two bakeries affected, said that he now has the unpleasant task of telling at least four brides that are set to get married this weekend that their cakes will not be ready in time. How depressing is that?

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but authorities believe it could be a possible arson attempt.

Maybe another bakery can step up and help out these couples in a last minute pinch?  I hope so!
