Baker Books Property in Dartmouth to Become a Parking Lot

We've been wondering for quite some time what would become of the Baker Books property on Route 6...Now we have our answer. 

Earlier this Spring, we heard that the Baker Books property next door to Not Your Average Joe's was up for lease. We had tossed around some ideas of what we thought could go there - a blow-dry bar, doggy daycare, or even an expanded outdoor seating spot for Joe's. But it seems like no one scooped up the lease and now the property is going to become a parking lot.

According to town officials, the lot will hold 35 more spaces of parking for Not Your Average Joe's. The building has been vacant since 2012 when Baker Books moved to a smaller location before ultimately closing.

While we would have loved to see a new business come to that space, parking at Joe's is pretty tight so we're happy to see that there might be a little bit more room to breathe parking-wise.

As of right now, it looks like the lot could be open by Thanksgiving of this year.
