I have three words for you; baby howler monkey. And this one right here is the cutest thing you will see today. Her name is Piper and she is the newest addition to the Roger Williams Park Zoo family. Isn't she simply adorable?

After reaching out to RWPZ, they explained that Baby Piper has completely stolen the hearts of everyone who meets her.

"She is the first female howler monkey born to parents Finley and Ramone, and sibling to her older brothers Tucker and Ryder," said Corrie Ignagni, Manager of Digital Communications at Roger Williams Park Zoo. "Born in late November of 2020, she spends most of her time clinging to mom but has begun to explore her surroundings and make new friends with her companion titi monkey and saki monkey families."

Here is a fun fact about this species; Howler monkeys are the loudest of all monkeys and have been known to call loud enough that it can be heard for up to 10 miles.

I don’t know what it is about hearing news of a new baby animal born at local zoos, but there is something just so wholesome and filled with hope when a birth is announced. It makes me all fuzzy inside and I cannot wait to see this face in person. You can see all the monkey families hanging out inside the Zoo’s Faces of the Rainforest exhibit.
