WELLFLEET — More information is coming out about the man who was killed in a shark attack on the Cape this weekend.

Arthur Medici was boogie boarding off Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet Saturday, when a shark pulled him under water.

His friend Isaac Rocha was with him at the time and says they were about 40 yards off shore.

"He was screaming. And then I saw, like, a shark tail or something that was a part of the shark," said Rocha. "And I swam to him as fast as I could in that moment."

He says the 26-year-old was unconscious by the time he was dragged to shore and died a short time later at Cape Cod Hospital.

Arthur's aunt, Marissa Medici says that she begged him not to go in the waters off of Cape Cod.

"Don't go, don't go! The shark is going to get you," Marissa recalled pleading with her nephew." And then he always joked, 'They don't like me, they don't want me."

A Go-Fund me page has been set up by family and friends to help pay for the funeral costs.
