ATTLEBORO — The Attleboro man accused of robbing and assaulting an elderly city woman before she lost her life in a fatal house fire in November is now being charged with murder and arson in her death.

The Bristol County District Attorney's office said 42-year-old Adam Rollins is expected to be arraigned today in Attleboro District Court on the new charges.

Rollins was arrested in Weymouth on New Year's Day in connection to the suspected assault and robbery of 80-year-old Judith Henriques.

Henriques died in the fire at her Division Street home in the early morning on Nov. 18, 2022.

Firefighters found her dead inside the house shortly after they put out the flames.

Rollins is currently held in custody and had been scheduled for a dangerousness hearing today on the burglary and assault charges.

However, the hearing will no longer take place due to the new charges filed against him, according to the D.A.'s office.

He was arrested following a monthslong investigation by state police assigned to the D.A.'s office along with the State Fire Marshal's Office and Attleboro Police.

No further details on the alleged murder have been disclosed.
